Topic Abstract:

Many of us who live in the Tucson community and who are involved in software

development are unaware of training organizations that exist beyond our own

companies or within local universities and colleges. Much to my surprise, a

vast array of independent training organizations do exist! Therefore, the

Tucson SPIN committe has coordinated this seminar to achieve at least three

primary goals:

1. To acquaint you with a few of the major training organizations in

Tucson;

2. To understand current training opportunities and student support that

these organizations provide, and;

3. To understand new software technologies that are "on the horizon" and

how these organizations are preparing to support them.

The seminar will consist of two sections: First, the representatives from

each training organization will be given a few minutes to tell the audience

about their specific training organization and services that it provides.

Second, the representatives will comprise a panel that will respond to

training-related questions from the audience. All-in-all, our February SPIN

meeting should be extremely informative.

Why is this Important to Me?

Has your technical growth stagnated? Is your previous technical education

now out of date? Are you thinking about changing career fields but first

need to gain expertise in the area? Do you need to understand new or

developing software technologies that your workplace is adopting? If the

answer to any of these (or similar questions) is "YES!", then this seminar

is for YOU! And even if none of these issues impact you at this time, this

seminar will still provide the forum in which you can explore future

training opportunities.

One Addtional Request:

If you plan on attending and have specific questions that you would like the

panel members to answer, please send them along with your RSVP so that we

can forward them to the training organizations prior to the seminar taking

place. In this way, the panel members will be able to prepare a much more

thorough response.
